Filiz Cevahir Aksu

Practising since 1999, Filiz Cevahir Aksu has more than 25 years of experience in litigation and legal advice across various fields of law, with a principal focus on criminal and family law. Consumer and administrative law are among her other practice areas.

She graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1996 and entered the profession upon obtaining her practising licence in 1999. Throughout her private practice, she has undertaken litigation, representation and advisory work, developing particular experience in criminal and family law cases.

Her criminal law work includes investigations, prosecutions, proceedings before Turkish high criminal courts and criminal courts of first instance, defence and criminal complaints. Her family law work covers contested and consensual divorce, child custody, maintenance and division of matrimonial property. Her practice also encompasses administrative and consumer law matters and disputes.

Alongside her legal practice, she holds the titles of mediator and trademark attorney. Her professional experience combines the conduct of judicial proceedings with the resolution of disputes through mediation.

Before studying law, she completed two years in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Istanbul University Faculty of Letters. She completed her secondary education at Erzincan High School in 1986.
